Phaladeepika
पूर्णं प्रदीप्ता विकलास्तु शून्यं मध्येऽनुपाताच्च शुभं क्रमेण । अनुक्रमेणाशुभमेव कुर्युर्नामानुरूपाणि फलानि तेषाम् ॥ २०॥
In the case of a planet in a Pradeeptavastha, the good effect will be full, while it will be nil for a planet in a Vikala state. In the case of the intervening conditions (Avasthas), the auspicious effects will be decreasing proportionately while the unpropitiousness of the effects will correspondingly increase. The nature of the effects of the several Avasthas will be quite in accordance with the appellations they bear.
