धूमस्तु धूमपटलः पुच्छर्क्षमिति केचन । उल्कापातो व्यतीपातः परिवेषस्तु दृश्यते ॥ २८॥

Some say that Dhuma is of the shape of fume clouds, while others opine that it is a star with a tail (comet ). Vyatipata is like the fall of a meteor ; and Parivesha is a halo or disk round the Sun or the Moon.

english translation

dhUmastu dhUmapaTalaH puccharkSamiti kecana । ulkApAto vyatIpAtaH pariveSastu dRzyate ॥ 28॥
