Phaladeepika
द्वावर्थकामाविह मारकाख्यौ तदीश्वरस्तत्र गतो बलाढ्यः । हन्ति स्वपाके निधनेश्वरो वा व्ययेश्वरो वऽप्यतिदुर्बलश्चेत् ॥ ४०॥
The 2 nd and the 7 th (houses) are termed the two death-producing houses. If the lords of these or the planets posited therein, are powerful they cause death during their Dasas. Should the lord of the 8 th or the 12 th house be very weak, the demise may be expected during the Bhukti of either of the two.

dvAvarthakAmAviha mArakAkhyau tadIzvarastatra gato balADhyaH । hanti svapAke nidhanezvaro vA vyayezvaro va'pyatidurbalazcet ॥ 40॥
