धर्मे सूर्यः शीतगुर्बन्धुभावे शौर्ये भौमः पञ्चमे देवमन्त्री कामे शुक्रश्चाष्टमे भानुपुत्रः कुर्यात्तस्य क्लेशमित्याहुरन्ये ॥ २६॥
But others say that the Sun in the 9 th, the Moon in the 4 th, Mars in the 3 rd, Jupiter in the 5 th. Venus in the 7 th and Saturn in the 8 th, will cause dis.ress to the Bhavas concerned.

dharme sUryaH zItagurbandhubhAve zaurye bhaumaH paJcame devamantrI kAme zukrazcASTame bhAnuputraH kuryAttasya klezamityAhuranye ॥ 26॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptलग्नेश्वरो यद्भवनेशयुक्तो यद्भावगस्तस्य फलं ददाति । भावे तदीशे बलभाजि तेन भावेन सौख्यं व्यसनं बलोने ॥ २७॥
The lord of the Lagna produces tha oflects pertaining to the Bhava with whose lord he is conjoined, or the one occupied by him. If the Bhava or its lord be strong, good will result from that Bhava; if weak, one has to expect only untoward things.

lagnezvaro yadbhavanezayukto yadbhAvagastasya phalaM dadAti । bhAve tadIze balabhAji tena bhAvena saukhyaM vyasanaM balone ॥ 27॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयद्भावप्रभुणा युतो बलवता मुख्याङ्गगो लग्नप- स्तद्भावानुभवं वितनुते यद्भावगस्तस्य च । संयुक्तो बलहीनभावपतिना निन्द्याङ्गभाजां फलं कुर्यात्तद्विपरीतमेवमुदितं सर्वेषु भावेष्वपि ॥ २८॥
Whatever Bhavas contain a number of benefic dots in the Ashtakavarga of the lord of the Lagna, the effects derived from these houses will be happy if the respective owners thereof are strong and are associated with the lord of the Lagna. Wherever there are a less number of such dots, the lord of the Lagna causes adverse effects if he be associated with the owners of these houses and if they are also weak. In the same way should all the Bhavas be judged.

yadbhAvaprabhuNA yuto balavatA mukhyAGgago lagnapa- stadbhAvAnubhavaM vitanute yadbhAvagastasya ca । saMyukto balahInabhAvapatinA nindyAGgabhAjAM phalaM kuryAttadviparItamevamuditaM sarveSu bhAveSvapi ॥ 28॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदुःस्थानपस्तदितरस्वगृहस्थितश्चेत् स्वक्षेत्रभावफलमेव करोति नान्यति मन्दो मृगे सुतगृहे यदि पुत्रसिद्धिः षष्ठाधिपतकृतदोषफलं च नात्र ॥ २९॥
If the lord of a Dussthana should occupy another house of his own, he will produce (in his Dasa) the effects of only that house occupied by him as Swakshetra and not the effects due to the Dussthana. For example, if Saturn should occupy Makara identical with the 5 th Bhava, there will be the acquisition of sons, and the untoward effects due as owner of the 6 th house will not happen

duHsthAnapastaditarasvagRhasthitazcet svakSetrabhAvaphalameva karoti nAnyati mando mRge sutagRhe yadi putrasiddhiH SaSThAdhipatakRtadoSaphalaM ca nAtra ॥ 29॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptराशौ स्थितिर्मिथो योगो दृष्तिः केन्द्रेषु संस्थितः । त्रिकोणे वा स्थितिः पञ्चप्रकारो बन्ध ईरितः ॥ ३०॥
When two planets mutually occupy each the other's sign; when two planets are together in one and the same house; when two planets are mutually aspecting each other; when two planets are occupying mutually Kendra positions, i e., when they are 90' apart; when two planets are so situated that one is in Trikona position to the other, 1. e., when they are trine or 120' apart; the above are the 5 kinds of connections recognised between the said two planets.
