एवं हि तत्कारकतो विचिन्त्यं पितुश्च मातुश्च सहोदरस्य । तन्मातुलस्यापि सुतस्य पत्यु- र्भृत्यस्य सूर्यादिखगस्थितर्क्षात् ॥ २१॥
In the same way should the effects of the father, the mother, the brother, the maternal uncle, the son, the husband and the servant be determined by treating the signs occupied by their respective Karakas, viz., the Sun, the Moon, and other planets, in the nativity as the Lagna (Ascendant).

evaM hi tatkArakato vicintyaM pituzca mAtuzca sahodarasya । tanmAtulasyApi sutasya patyu- rbhRtyasya sUryAdikhagasthitarkSAt ॥ 21॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसूर्यास्थितर्क्षाज्जनकस्वरूपं वृद्धिं द्वितीयेन तु तत्प्रकाशम् । तद्भ्रातरं तस्य गुणं तृतीयात् तन्मातरं चापि सुखं चतुर्थात् ॥ २२॥
Find the house occupied by the Sun. It is from this that one ought to conjecture all about the appearance of the father of the person concerned. The father's prosperity and renown should be divined from the 2 nd house counted from that occupied by the Sun. His brothers, character, etc., must be ascertained from the 3 rd house reckoned from the Sun. All about his father's mother, father's happiness, etc., should be sought for from the 4 th house (from the Sun )

sUryAsthitarkSAjjanakasvarUpaM vRddhiM dvitIyena tu tatprakAzam । tadbhrAtaraM tasya guNaM tRtIyAt tanmAtaraM cApi sukhaM caturthAt ॥ 22॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptबुधिं प्रसादं सुतभाच्च षष्ठा- त्पीडा पितुर्दोषर्मारं च रोगम् । कामं मदं तस्य तु सप्तमेन दुःखं मृतिं मृत्युगृहात्तदयुः ॥ २३॥
The father's intelligence and tranquillity of mind should be deduced from the 5 th house (from the Sun ); his sufferings, injury, enemies and disease should be guessed from the 6 th house; his love and passion from the 7 th house, his misery, death and his longevity should be determined from the 8 th house (from the Sun ).

budhiM prasAdaM sutabhAcca SaSThA- tpIDA piturdoSarmAraM ca rogam । kAmaM madaM tasya tu saptamena duHkhaM mRtiM mRtyugRhAttadayuH ॥ 23॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपुण्यं शुभं तत्पितरं शुभेन व्यापारमस्यैव हि कर्मभावात् । लाभं ह्युपान्त्यात् क्षयमन्त्य- भावाच्चन्द्रादिकानां फलमेवमाहुः ॥ २४॥
All about the father's religious ment, auspicious works and his father should be sought for from the 9 th house (from the Sun); hi; occupation from the 10 th house; his gains or income from the 11 th and his expenditure or loss from the 12 th house (from the Sun). The effects of the 12 Bhavas counatal hom the Moon, Mars, etc, (for the mother, brother otc ) should be similarly deduced.

puNyaM zubhaM tatpitaraM zubhena vyApAramasyaiva hi karmabhAvAt । lAbhaM hyupAntyAt kSayamantya- bhAvAccandrAdikAnAM phalamevamAhuH ॥ 24॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतत्तद्भावात्कारकादेवमूह्यं तत्तन्मातृभ्रातृपित्रात्मजाद्यम् । तस्मिन् भावे कारके भावनाथे वीर्योपेते तस्य भावस्य सौखम् ॥ २५॥
All details about the mother, brother, father, son, etc,, of a Bhava should thus be divined by a reference to the particular Bhava and its Karaka When any Bhava, its lord and its Karaka are all strong, one ought to predict good effects ( happiness) for that Bhava.

tattadbhAvAtkArakAdevamUhyaM tattanmAtRbhrAtRpitrAtmajAdyam । tasmin bhAve kArake bhAvanAthe vIryopete tasya bhAvasya saukham ॥ 25॥
