Phaladeepika
भ्रान्तिं दुर्वचनं दृगामयगलध्राणोत्थरोगं ज्वरं पित्तश्लेष्मसमीरजं विषमपि त्वग्दोषपाण्ड्वामयान् दुःस्वप्नं च विचर्चिकाग्निपतने पारुष्यबन्धश्रमान् । गन्धर्वक्षितिहर्म्यवाहिभिरपि ज्ञो वक्ति पीडां ग्रहैः ॥ ५॥
Mercury brings on mental disease, trouble to the vocal organs, eye-disease, diseases of throat and nose, fever, diseases arising from the three humours Vata, Pittha and Kapha, poison, skin diseases, anaemia, bad dreams, itches and scab ( Psoriasis), falling into the fire, roughness or dryness of the body imprisonment and exhaustion, and harm from evil demons moving in the abodes of Gandharvas, and in fiery pits (where these evil spirits usually dwell) or Gandharvas, the Earth, mansions and horsos, etc, as well as evil spirits. ॥

bhrAntiM durvacanaM dRgAmayagaladhrANottharogaM jvaraM pittazleSmasamIrajaM viSamapi tvagdoSapANDvAmayAn duHsvapnaM ca vicarcikAgnipatane pAruSyabandhazramAn । gandharvakSitiharmyavAhibhirapi jJo vakti pIDAM grahaiH ॥ 5॥
