Phaladeepika
स्वर्भानौ सुतगे सुतेशसहिते सर्पस्य शापात्तथा केतौ ब्राह्मणशापतश्च गुलिके प्रेतोथशापं वदेत् । शुक्रेन्दू गुलिकान्वितौ यदि वधूगोहत्तिमाहुः सुते जीवो वाथ शिखी समान्दिरिह चेद्भूदेवत्या।सुतः ॥ २२॥
if Rahu should occupy the 5 th house or be associated with the lord of that house it will be due to the curse of a serpent ; in the case of Ketu, it will be owing to the curse of a Brahmin. If it be Mandi, it will be due to a curse from departed sprits, If Venus and the Moon in conjuncwith Mandi should be in such a position, the cause will be attributed to the murder of a damsel or the killing of a cow. If Jupiter or Ketu in conjunction with Mandi be in the 5 th house, the sonlessness will be on account of the murder of a Brahmin. ka Azizaya: is another reading in the test quutor of the 20 th Sloka.

svarbhAnau sutage sutezasahite sarpasya zApAttathA ketau brAhmaNazApatazca gulike pretothazApaM vadet । zukrendU gulikAnvitau yadi vadhUgohattimAhuH sute jIvo vAtha zikhI samAndiriha cedbhUdevatyA।sutaH ॥ 22॥
