शुभाधिपयुतेक्षिते सुतकलत्रभे लग्नतो विधोरपि तयोः शुभं त्वितरथान सिद्धिस्तयोः । सिताव्द्ययसुखाष्टगैः खरखगैरसन्नध्यगे सितेऽप्यथ शुभेतरेक्षितयुते च जायावधः ॥ १॥
If the 5 th and the 7 th house reckoned either from the Lagna or the Moon be occupied or aspected by the lord of the 9 th house, or by benefics or their own lords, then there is good for the two Bhavas: otherwise not; i.e., the Bhavas will not bear fruit. If malefic planets are posited ( 1 ) in the 12 th, 4 th and 8 th houses counted from Venus or if Venus be hemmed in between two malefics, or if Venus be aspected by or conjoined with malefics, there is loss of wite.

दारेशे सुतगे प्रणष्टवनितोऽपुत्रोऽथवा धीश्वरो द्यूने वा निधनेश्श्वरोऽपि कुरुते पत्नीविनाशं ध्रुवम् । क्षीणेन्दौ सुतगे व्ययास्ततनुगैः पापैरदारात्मजः स्त्रीसंगाद्धननाशनं मदगयाः स्वर्भनुभान्वोर्वदेत् ॥ २॥
If the lord of the 7 th house be in the 5 th, the native will lose his wife or become sonless. The loss of the wife is certain, if the lord of the 5 th or the 8 th house happens to be in the 7 th. If the weak Moon be in the 5 th and malefics should occupy the 12 th, 7 th and the 1 st houses, the person will be bereft of wife and children. If the Sun and Rahu be in the 7 th house, one ought to predict loss of wealth through the association of women.

शुक्रे दृश्चकगे मदे मृतवधूः कामे वृषस्थे बुधे स्त्रीनाशस्त्वथ नीचगे सुरगुरौ द्यूनाधिरुढे तथा । जामित्रे भुषगे शनौ सति तथा भौमेऽथवा स्त्रीमृति- श्चन्द्रक्षेत्रगयोर्मदेऽर्किकुजयोः पत्नी सति शोभना ॥ ३॥
When Venus occupies Vrischika identical with the 7 th house, the wife of the person born will die. The same will be the effect when Mercury is in Vrishabha identical with the 7 th house or when Jupiter occupies the 7 th and is in depression, or when Saturn or Mars is posited in Meena identical with the 7 th house If Saturn and Mars are in the 7 th house identical with Karkataka, the wife of the person concerned will be chaste, fortunate and beautiful.

अस्ते वास्तपतावसद्ग्रहयुते दृष्टेऽप्यसन्मध्यगे नीचारातिगृहेऽर्ककान्त्यभिहते ब्रूयात्कलत्रच्युतिम् । कमे वा सुतभाग्ययोर्विकलदारोऽसौ सपापे भृगौ शुक्रे वा कुजमन्दवर्गसहिते दृष्टे परस्त्रीरतः ॥ ४॥
If the 7 th house or its lord be associated with, aspected by or posited betwixt malefics or be in depression cr inimical sign, or eclipsed by the Sun's rays, loss of wife is certain. Venus in conjunction with a malefic occupying the 7 th, 5 th or 9 th house will make the native bereft of wife or have a crippled wife. When Venus is in a (Varga) of Mars or Saturn or has the aspect of these planets, the person born will have liaison with other people's wives.

भौमार्क्यस्ते भॄगुजशशिनोर्दाहीनोऽसुतो वा क्लीबेऽस्ते वा भवति भवगौ द्वौ ग्रहौ स्त्रीद्वयं स्यात् । द्वन्द्वर्क्षाशे मदपतिसितौ तस्य जायाद्वयं स्यात् ताम्यां युक्तैर्गगननिलयैर्दारसंख्यां वदन्तु ॥ ५॥
If Venus and the Moon are in opposition to Mars and Saturn in any nativity, the person concerned will be either wifeless or issueless; when there is a hermaphrodite planet in the 7 th house and the 11 th house is occupied by two planets, the person will have two wives. If the lord of the 7 th house and Venus be each posited in a dual Rasi or Amsa, the person will have two wives. Generally one ought to predict the number of wives in such cases by the number of the planets in conjunction with those two. viz., the lord of the 7 th and Venus.
