स्तम्भे मानग्रहणे विस्मयदृष्टे च सत्यवचने च । अहमिति च दर्पवचने गर्वोत्सेके तु कर्तव्यम् ॥२२८॥
The Nirbhugna breast is used in conditions like stiffness, pride, surprise, and when asserting truth, as well as in expressions of arrogance and self-assertion.

stambhe mAnagrahaNe vismayadRSTe ca satyavacane ca । ahamiti ca darpavacane garvotseke tu kartavyam ॥228॥
