एष विनयाभ्युपगमे प्रणामकरणे गुरोश्च सम्भाषे । शीते भये च कार्यो वक्षःस्थः कम्पितः स्त्रीभिः ॥ १३१॥

(Uses): It is to be used to indicate an approach with inimical intention, bowing and talking to a venerable person. To indicate cold and fear, women are to hold this hand on their breasts.

eSa vinayAbhyupagame praNAmakaraNe gurozca sambhASe । zIte bhaye ca kAryo vakSaHsthaH kampitaH strIbhiH ॥ 131॥
