नष्टस्मृतिर्हतगतिश्छर्दितहिक्काकफैः सुबीभत्सः । गुरुसज्जमानजिह्वो निष्ठीवति चाधमप्रकृतिः ॥ ४३॥
Excessive intoxication is characterised by loss of memory, and incapacity to walk due to vomitting, hiccup and cough, and a thick protruding tongue and spitting, and relates to persons of the inferior type.

naSTasmRtirhatagatizcharditahikkAkaphaiH subIbhatsaH । gurusajjamAnajihvo niSThIvati cAdhamaprakRtiH ॥ 43॥
