उत्फुल्लानननेत्रं तु गण्डैर्विकसितैरथ । किञ्चिल्लक्षितदन्तं च हसितं तद्विधीयते ॥ ६॥

With a blooming face and eyes, slightly expanded cheeks, and teeth that are slightly visible, such a smile is called Hasita (the Smile).

अथ मध्यमानाम् - आकुञ्चिताक्षिगण्डं यत्सस्वनं मधुरं तथा । कालागतं सास्यरागं तद्वै विहसितं भवेत्॥७॥

Now, about the medium ones: With contracted eyes and cheeks, producing a soft sound, sweet in nature, and appropriate to the occasion, along with a slight redness of the face, this is known as Vihasita (Gentle Laughter).

Now, concerning the inferior type: "Laughter that is inappropriate to the situation, accompanied by tearful eyes, trembling shoulders, and a shaking head, is known as Apahasita (False Laughter)."
