हास्यस्थानानि यानि स्युः कार्योत्पन्नानि नाटके । उत्तमाधममध्यानामेवं तानि प्रयोजयेत् ॥ ११॥
The situations for laughter in a dramatic performance arise from specific actions or events. These should be appropriately employed in accordance with the superior, middling, and inferior types of characters.

hAsyasthAnAni yAni syuH kAryotpannAni nATake । uttamAdhamamadhyAnAmevaM tAni prayojayet ॥ 11॥
