अलातकं प्रयुञ्जीत ह्यूर्ध्वजानु निकुञ्चितम् । अर्धसूची च विक्षिप्तमुद्वृत्ताक्षिप्तके तथा ॥ २२४॥

One should perform the Alātaka with the knees raised and bent, the half-needle, the scattered, and the upward-thrown and downward-thrown movements.

english translation

alAtakaM prayuJjIta hyUrdhvajAnu nikuJcitam । ardhasUcI ca vikSiptamudvRttAkSiptake tathA ॥ 224॥
