अनुष्टुब्बृहती चैव जगत्यथ विलम्बिता ध्रुता च चपला चैवमुद्गता कृतिरेव च । ध्रुवाणां जातयो ह्येताः प्रयोगेषु प्रकीर्तिताः ॥ ३७॥

The Anuṣṭubh, Bṛhatī, Jagatī, Vilambitā, Drutā, Capalā, Udgatā and Kṛti—these are the classes of metres that are declared to be employed in the Dhruvās during their application in performance.

anuSTubbRhatI caiva jagatyatha vilambitA dhrutA ca capalA caivamudgatA kRtireva ca । dhruvANAM jAtayo hyetAH prayogeSu prakIrtitAH ॥ 37॥
