कनिष्ठासारिते तालो यो यथा परिकीर्तितः । स एव सर्वः कर्तव्यः प्रथमे कण्डिकोद्भवे ॥ १४२॥

The Tāla that has been prescribed for the short Āsārita is to be entirely observed at the beginning of the first Kaṇḍikā.

kaniSThAsArite tAlo yo yathA parikIrtitaH । sa eva sarvaH kartavyaH prathame kaNDikodbhave ॥ 142॥
