अणवोऽष्टौ रजः प्रोक्तं तान्यष्टौ वाल उच्यते । वालास्त्वष्टौ भवेल्लिक्षा यूका लिक्षाष्टकं भवेत् ॥ १४॥
The eight atoms (aṇavaḥ), the eight particles of dust (rajaḥ), and the eight threads (vāla) are mentioned. The thread length (likṣā) is defined as an eighth of a thread (likṣāṣṭaka), and the yarn (yūka) is also specified as an eighth of the thread length.
english translation
aNavo'STau rajaH proktaM tAnyaSTau vAla ucyate । vAlAstvaSTau bhavellikSA yUkA likSASTakaM bhavet ॥ 14॥
