ये तु पूर्वं मया प्रोक्तास्त्रयो वै नाट्यमण्डपाः । तेषां विभागं विज्ञाय ततः कक्ष्यां प्रयोजयेत् ॥ १॥

कक्ष्याविभागो निर्देश्यो रङ्गपीठपरिक्रमात् । परिक्रमेण रङ्गस्य कक्ष्या ह्यन्या विधीयते ॥ ३॥

The division of the stage is to be indicated after the circumambulation of the stage platform. Through this circumambulation, another division of the stage is to be established.

कक्ष्याविभागे ज्ञेयानि गृहाणि नगराणि च । उद्यानारामसरितस्त्वाश्रमा अटवी तथा ॥ ४॥

In the division of the stage, the houses, cities, gardens, forests, rivers, hermitages, and groves are to be known.

The Earth, oceans, the three worlds, along with the mobile and immobile beings, the seven regions, and the various mountains are to be considered.
