केवलमूर्ध्वनिक्षेपमद्रिष्वङ्गं भवेदथ । द्रुमे चारोहणं कार्यमतिक्रान्तैः स्थितैः पदैः ॥ १०४॥

sanskrit

Only the raising and placing down of the limbs upward is to be done in climbing trees; the ascent of trees is to be performed with feet placed firmly in the Atikrāntā Cārī.

english translation

kevalamUrdhvanikSepamadriSvaGgaM bhavedatha । drume cArohaNaM kAryamatikrAntaiH sthitaiH padaiH ॥ 104॥
