धनुर्वज्रासिशस्त्राणां प्रयोक्तव्या विमोक्षणे । न भेद्यं नापि तु च्छेद्यं न चापि रुधिरस्रुतिः ॥ ८६॥

Weapons like the bow, thunderbolt, and sword should be skillfully used in their release. However, there should be no actual piercing, cutting, or flow of blood.

english translation

dhanurvajrAsizastrANAM prayoktavyA vimokSaNe । na bhedyaM nApi tu cchedyaM na cApi rudhirasrutiH ॥ 86॥
