सर्वशात्रार्थसम्पन्नं सर्वशिल्पप्रवर्तकम् । नाट्याख्यं पञ्चमं वेदं सेतिहासं करोम्यहम् ॥ १५॥

I shall create the fifth Veda, called Nāṭya, enriched with the meaning of all scriptures and the teachings of all crafts, incorporating Semi-historical Tales (itihāsa).

english translation

sarvazAtrArthasampannaM sarvazilpapravartakam । nATyAkhyaM paJcamaM vedaM setihAsaM karomyaham ॥ 15॥
