ईश्वराणां विलासश्च स्थैर्यं दुःखार्दितस्य च । अर्थोपजीविनामर्थो धृतिरुद्वेगचेतसाम् ॥ १११॥
The pleasures of the divine, steadiness for those afflicted with sorrow, wealth for those who seek livelihood, and courage for those with restless minds.
english translation
IzvarANAM vilAsazca sthairyaM duHkhArditasya ca । arthopajIvinAmartho dhRtirudvegacetasAm ॥ 111॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptनानाभावोपसम्पन्नं नानावस्थान्तरात्मकम् । लोकवृत्तानुकरणं नाट्यमेतन्मया कृतम् ॥ ११२॥
"This drama, created by me, is endowed with various forms, representing different states and embodying the ways of the world."
english translation
nAnAbhAvopasampannaM nAnAvasthAntarAtmakam । lokavRttAnukaraNaM nATyametanmayA kRtam ॥ 112॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptउत्तमाधममध्यानां नराणां कर्मसंश्रयम् । हितोपदेशजननं धृतिक्रीडासुखादिकृत् ॥ ११३॥
"The actions of men, whether of the highest, lowest, or middle types, depend on their deeds, and this drama generates virtuous counsel, as well as joy from the play of determination."

uttamAdhamamadhyAnAM narANAM karmasaMzrayam । hitopadezajananaM dhRtikrIDAsukhAdikRt ॥ 113॥

"In these moods and emotions, all actions and rituals are intertwined. The drama will create universal guidance in the world. It will also bring rest to those in distress, to those suffering from hardship, sorrow, and those who are ascetics, at the appropriate time."

(etadraseSu bhAveSu sarvakarmakriyAsvatha । sarvopadezajananaM nATyaM loke bhaviSyati ॥ ) duHkhArtAnAM zramArtAnAM zokArtAnAM tapasvinAm । vizrAntijananaM kAle nATyametadbhaviSyati ॥ 114॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptधर्म्यं यशस्यमायुष्यं हितं बुद्धिविवर्धनम् । लोकोपदेशजननं नाट्यमेतद्भविष्यति ॥ ११५॥
"That which is righteous, brings fame, longevity, and well-being, and enhances wisdom, this drama will create guidance for the world."

dharmyaM yazasyamAyuSyaM hitaM buddhivivardhanam । lokopadezajananaM nATyametadbhaviSyati ॥ 115॥
