The pleasures of the divine, steadiness for those afflicted with sorrow, wealth for those who seek livelihood, and courage for those with restless minds.

"This drama, created by me, is endowed with various forms, representing different states and embodying the ways of the world."

उत्तमाधममध्यानां नराणां कर्मसंश्रयम् । हितोपदेशजननं धृतिक्रीडासुखादिकृत् ॥ ११३॥

"The actions of men, whether of the highest, lowest, or middle types, depend on their deeds, and this drama generates virtuous counsel, as well as joy from the play of determination."

(एतद्रसेषु भावेषु सर्वकर्मक्रियास्वथ । सर्वोपदेशजननं नाट्यं लोके भविष्यति ॥ ) दुःखार्तानां श्रमार्तानां शोकार्तानां तपस्विनाम् । विश्रान्तिजननं काले नाट्यमेतद्भविष्यति ॥ ११४॥

"In these moods and emotions, all actions and rituals are intertwined. The drama will create universal guidance in the world. It will also bring rest to those in distress, to those suffering from hardship, sorrow, and those who are ascetics, at the appropriate time."

english translation

(etadraseSu bhAveSu sarvakarmakriyAsvatha । sarvopadezajananaM nATyaM loke bhaviSyati ॥ ) duHkhArtAnAM zramArtAnAM zokArtAnAM tapasvinAm । vizrAntijananaM kAle nATyametadbhaviSyati ॥ 114॥
