एकाधिकं हरेज् ज्येष्ठः पुत्रोऽध्यर्धं ततोऽनुजः । अंशमंशं यवीयांस इति धर्मो व्यवस्थितः ॥ ११७ ॥

Let the eldest son take one share in excess, the (brother) born next after him one (share) and a half, the younger ones one share each; thus the law is settled.

english translation

ekAdhikaM harej jyeSThaH putro'dhyardhaM tato'nujaH । aMzamaMzaM yavIyAMsa iti dharmo vyavasthitaH ॥ 117 ॥
