ज्येष्ठस्य विंश उद्धारः सर्वद्रव्याच्च यद् वरम् । ततोऽर्धं मध्यमस्य स्यात् तुरीयं तु यवीयसः ॥ ११२ ॥

sanskrit

The additional share (deducted) for the eldest shall be one-twentieth (of the estate) and the best of all chattels, for the middlemost half of that, but for the youngest one-fourth.

english translation

jyeSThasya viMza uddhAraH sarvadravyAcca yad varam | tato'rdhaM madhyamasya syAt turIyaM tu yavIyasaH || 112 ||
