तन्तुवायो दशपलं दद्यादेकपलाधिकम् । अतोऽन्यथा वर्तमानो दाप्यो द्वादशकं दमम् ॥ ३९७ ॥

sanskrit

A weaver (who has received) ten palas (of thread), shall return (cloth weighing) one pala more; he who acts differently shall be compelled to pay a fine of twelve (panas).

english translation

tantuvAyo dazapalaM dadyAdekapalAdhikam । ato'nyathA vartamAno dApyo dvAdazakaM damam ॥ 397 ॥
