Manusmriti
अनेन विधिना राजा कुर्वाणः स्तेननिग्रहम् । यशोऽस्मिन् प्राप्नुयात्लोके प्रेत्य चानुत्तमं सुखम् ॥ ३४३ ॥
A king who punishes thieves according to these rules, will gain fame in this world and after death unsurpassable bliss.
english translation
anena vidhinA rAjA kurvANaH stenanigraham । yazo'smin prApnuyAtloke pretya cAnuttamaM sukham ॥ 343 ॥
