सर्वेषां तु विदित्वैषां समासेन चिकीर्षितम् । स्थापयेत् तत्र तद्वंश्यं कुर्याच्च समयक्रियाम् ॥ २०२ ॥

sanskrit

But having fully ascertained the wishes of all the (conquered), let him place there a relative of the (vanquished ruler on the throne), and let him impose his conditions.

english translation

sarveSAM tu viditvaiSAM samAsena cikIrSitam | sthApayet tatra tadvaMzyaM kuryAcca samayakriyAm || 202 ||
