देवताभ्यस्तु तद् हुत्वा वन्यं मेध्यतरं हविः । शेषमात्मनि युञ्जीत लवणं च स्वयं कृतम् ॥ १२ ॥

sanskrit

Having offered those most pure sacrificial viands, consisting of the produce of the forest, he may use the remainder for himself, (mixed with) salt prepared by himself.

english translation

devatAbhyastu tad hutvA vanyaM medhyataraM haviH | zeSamAtmani yuJjIta lavaNaM ca svayaM kRtam || 12 ||
