Manusmriti
यथा प्लवेनोपलेन निमज्जत्युदके तरन् । तथा निमज्जतोऽधस्तादज्ञौ दातृप्रतीच्छकौ ॥ १९४ ॥
As he who (attempts to) cross water in a boat of stone sinks (to the bottom), even so an ignorant donor and an ignorant donee sink low.
english translation
yathA plavenopalena nimajjatyudake taran । tathA nimajjato'dhastAdajJau dAtRpratIcchakau ॥ 194 ॥
