अधार्मिको नरो यो हि यस्य चाप्यनृतं धनम् । हिंसारतश्च यो नित्यं नैहासौ सुखमेधते ॥ १७० ॥

sanskrit

Neither a man who (lives) unrighteously, nor he who (acquires) wealth (by telling) falsehoods, nor he who always delights in doing injury, ever attain happiness in this world.

english translation

adhArmiko naro yo hi yasya cApyanRtaM dhanam | hiMsAratazca yo nityaM naihAsau sukhamedhate || 170 ||
