उच्छेषणां भूमिगतमजिह्मस्याशठस्य च । दासवर्गस्य तत् पित्र्ये भागधेयं प्रचक्षते ॥ २४६ ॥

They declare the fragments which have fallen on the ground at a (Sraddha) to the manes, to be the share of honest, dutiful servants.

english translation

uccheSaNAM bhUmigatamajihmasyAzaThasya ca | dAsavargasya tat pitrye bhAgadheyaM pracakSate || 246 ||
