Manusmriti
पूजितं ह्यशनं नित्यं बलमूर्जं च यच्छति । अपूजितं तु तद् भुक्तमुभयं नाशयेदिदम् ॥ ५५ ॥
Food, that is always worshipped, gives strength and manly vigour; but eaten irreverently, it destroys them both.
english translation
pUjitaM hyazanaM nityaM balamUrjaM ca yacchati । apUjitaM tu tad bhuktamubhayaM nAzayedidam ॥ 55 ॥
