चोदितो गुरुणा नित्यमप्रचोदित एव वा । कुर्यादध्ययने यत्नमाचार्यस्य हितेषु च ॥ १९१ ॥

sanskrit

Both when ordered by his teacher, and without a (special) command, (a student) shall always exert himself in studying (the Veda), and in doing what is serviceable to his teacher.

english translation

codito guruNA nityamapracodita eva vA | kuryAdadhyayane yatnamAcAryasya hiteSu ca || 191 ||
