निषेकादिश्मशानान्तो मन्त्रैर्यस्योदितो विधिः । तस्य शास्त्रेऽधिकारोऽस्मिन् ज्ञेयो नान्यस्य कस्य चित् ॥ १६ ॥

sanskrit

Know that he for whom (the performance of) the ceremonies beginning with the rite of impregnation (Garbhadhana) and ending with the funeral rite (Antyeshti) is prescribed, while sacred formulas are being recited, is entitled (to study) these Institutes, but no other man whatsoever.

english translation

niSekAdizmazAnAnto mantrairyasyodito vidhiH | tasya zAstre'dhikAro'smin jJeyo nAnyasya kasya cit || 16 ||
