धान्यकुप्यपशुस्तेयं मद्यपस्त्रीनिषेवणम् । स्त्रीशूद्रविट्क्षत्रवधो नास्तिक्यं चोपपातकम् ॥ ६६ ॥
Stealing grain, base metals, or cattle, intercourse with women who drink spirituous liquor, slaying women, Sudras, Vaisyas, or Kshatriyas, and atheism, (are all) minor offences, causing loss of caste (Upapataka).
english translation
ब्राह्मणस्य रुजः कृत्वा घ्रातिरघ्रेयमद्ययोः । जैह्म्यं च मैथुनं पुंसि जातिभ्रंशकरं स्मृतम् ॥ ६७ ॥
Giving pain to a Brahmana (by a blow), smelling at things which ought not to be smelt at, or at spirituous liquor, cheating, and an unnatural offence with a man, are declared to cause the loss of caste (Gatibhramsa)
english translation
खराश्वोष्ट्रमृगैभानामजाविकवधस्तथा । सङ्करीकरणं ज्ञेयं मीनाहिमहिषस्य च ॥ ६८ ॥
Killing a donkey, a horse, a camel, a deer, an elephant, a goat, a sheep, a fish, a snake, or a buffalo, must be known to degrade (the offender) to a mixed caste (Samkarikarana).
english translation
निन्दितेभ्यो धनादानं वाणिज्यं शूद्रसेवनम् । अपात्रीकरणं ज्ञेयमसत्यस्य च भाषणम् ॥ ६९ ॥
Accepting presents from blamed men, trading, serving Sudras, and speaking a falsehood, make (the offender) unworthy to receive gifts (Apatra).
english translation
कृमिकीटवयोहत्या मद्यानुगतभोजनम् । फलेधः।कुसुमस्तेयमधैर्यं च मलावहम् ॥ ७० ॥
Killing insects, small or large, or birds, eating anything kept close to spirituous liquors, stealing fruit, firewood, or flowers, (are offences) which make impure (Malavaha).
