Manusmriti
विधाता शासिता वक्ता मैत्रो ब्राह्मण उच्यते । तस्मै नाकुशलं ब्रूयान्न शुष्कां गिरमीरयेत् ॥ ३५ ॥
The Brahmana is declared (to be) the creator (of the world), the punisher, the teacher, (and hence) a benefactor (of all created beings); to him let no man say anything unpropitious, nor use any harsh words.
english translation
vidhAtA zAsitA vaktA maitro brAhmaNa ucyate । tasmai nAkuzalaM brUyAnna zuSkAM giramIrayet ॥ 35 ॥
