Manusmriti
अनुक्तनिष्कृतीनां तु पापानामपनुत्तये । शक्तिं चावेक्ष्य पापं च प्रायश्चित्तं प्रकल्पयेत् ॥ २०९ ॥
For the expiation of offences for which no atonement has been prescribed, let him fix a penance after considering (the offender’s) strength and the (nature of the) offence.
english translation
anuktaniSkRtInAM tu pApAnAmapanuttaye । zaktiM cAvekSya pApaM ca prAyazcittaM prakalpayet ॥ 209 ॥
