एतैर्व्रतैरपोहेत पापं स्तेयकृतं द्विजः । अगम्यागमनीयं तु व्रतैरेभिरपानुदेत् ॥ १६९ ॥

sanskrit

By means of these penances, a twice-born man may remove the guilt of theft; but the guilt of approaching women who ought not to be approached (agamya), he may expiate by (the following) penances.

english translation

etairvratairapoheta pApaM steyakRtaM dvijaH | agamyAgamanIyaM tu vratairebhirapAnudet || 169 ||
