एते षट् सदृशान् वर्णाञ्जनयन्ति स्वयोनिषु । मातृजात्यां प्रसूयन्ते प्रवारासु च योनिषु ॥ २७ ॥

sanskrit

These six (Pratilomas) beget similar races (varna) on women of their own (caste), they (also) produce (the like) with females of their mother’s caste (gati), and with females (of) higher ones.

english translation

ete SaT sadRzAn varNAJjanayanti svayoniSu | mAtRjAtyAM prasUyante pravArAsu ca yoniSu || 27 ||
