सर्वेषां ब्राह्मणो विद्याद् वृत्त्युपायान् यथाविधि । प्रब्रूयादितरेभ्यश्च स्वयं चैव तथा भवेत् ॥ २ ॥

The Brahmana must know the means of subsistence (prescribed) by law for all, instruct the others, and himself live according to (the law)

sarveSAM brAhmaNo vidyAd vRttyupAyAn yathAvidhi | prabrUyAditarebhyazca svayaM caiva tathA bhavet || 2 ||
