सर्वेषां ब्राह्मणो विद्याद् वृत्त्युपायान् यथाविधि । प्रब्रूयादितरेभ्यश्च स्वयं चैव तथा भवेत् ॥ २ ॥

sanskrit

The Brahmana must know the means of subsistence (prescribed) by law for all, instruct the others, and himself live according to (the law)

english translation

sarveSAM brAhmaNo vidyAd vRttyupAyAn yathAvidhi । prabrUyAditarebhyazca svayaM caiva tathA bhavet ॥ 2 ॥
