Manusmriti
ब्राह्मणो जायमानो हि पृथिव्यामधिजायते । ईश्वरः सर्वभूतानां धर्मकोशस्य गुप्तये ॥ ९९ ॥
A Brahmana, coming into existence, is born as the highest on earth, the lord of all created beings, for the protection of the treasury of the law.

brAhmaNo jAyamAno hi pRthivyAmadhijAyate । IzvaraH sarvabhUtAnAM dharmakozasya guptaye ॥ 99 ॥
