समेत्य तु महाबाहुः शल्यः पाण्डुसुतैस तदा पाद्यम अर्घ्यं च गां चैव परत्यगृह्णाद यथाविधि ॥ ५-८-१६ ॥
‘The mighty-armed king, having met them, accepted, as was customary, the water for washing his feet and the traditional gifts of honour, including a cow.’ ॥ 5-8-16 ॥
