इदं वै देवनं पापं मायया कितवैः सह धर्मेण तु जयॊ युद्धे तत्परं साधु देवनम ॥ २-५३-७ ॥
'Achieving victory in battle through direct means, without resorting to cunning or stratagem, is the highest form of honorable conduct. However, gambling does not share this virtue.' ॥ 2-53-7 ॥
english translation
idaM vai devanaM pApaM mAyayA kitavaiH saha dharmeNa tu jayò yuddhe tatparaM sAdhu devanama ॥ 2-53-7 ॥
