असंतॊषः शरियॊ मूलं तस्मात तं कामयाम्य अहम समुच्छ्रये यॊ यतते स राजन परमॊ नयी ॥ २-५०-१८ ॥
'Whether one is considered a foe or a friend does not depend on their appearance or stature. A person who causes pain to another is seen as an enemy by the one who suffers. Discontent is the seed of success.' ॥ 2-50-18 ॥

asaMtòSaH zariyò mUlaM tasmAta taM kAmayAmya ahama samucchraye yò yatate sa rAjana paramò nayI ॥ 2-50-18 ॥
