कच चित संधिं यथाकालं विग्रहं चॊपसेवसे कच चिद वृत्तिम उदासीने मध्यमे चानुवर्तसे ॥ २-५-१५ ॥

'Do you diligently discern the actions of your allies, adversaries, and neutrals? Do you pursue both peace and conflict judiciously, according to the circumstances?' ॥ 2-5-15 ॥

kaca cita saMdhiM yathAkAlaM vigrahaM còpasevase kaca cida vRttima udAsIne madhyame cAnuvartase ॥ 2-5-15 ॥
