आत्मनिन्दात्मपूजा च परनिन्दा परस्तवः अनाचरितम आर्याणां वृत्तम एतच चतुर्विधम ॥ २-४१-१५ ॥

sanskrit

'There are four types of conduct that are not practiced by the noble: self-deprecation, self-aggrandizement, disparagement of others, and excessive praise of others.' ॥ 2-41-15 ॥

english translation

AtmanindAtmapUjA ca paranindA parastavaH anAcaritama AryANAM vRttama etaca caturvidhama ॥ 2-41-15 ॥
