मुनयॊ धर्मसहिता धृतात्मानॊ जितेन्द्रियाः एते चान्ये च बहवॊ वेदवेदाङ्गपारगाः ।। २-४-१६ ।।

sanskrit

'These virtuous and erudite sages, with their senses and souls firmly controlled, were joined by many others, equally numerous, all proficient in the Vedas and Vedangas, well-versed in moral precepts, and pristine in their conduct.' ।। 2-4-16 ।।

english translation

munayò dharmasahitA dhRtAtmAnò jitendriyAH ete cAnye ca bahavò vedavedAGgapAragAH || 2-4-16 ||
