'Vaisampayana said, "Then, the foremost among men, King Yudhishthira, entered the grand assembly hall after providing a feast to ten thousand Brahmins."' ।। 2-4-1 ।।
'The illustrious king bestowed upon each of them a thousand cows, O Bharata, and there arose there a blessed sound like that of Indra's festival in the firmament, O Bharata.' ।। 2-4-3 ।।
'The king also gifted each of those Brahmins a thousand cows. And, O Bharata, the joyful exclamations of the satisfied Brahmins, 'What an auspicious day is this!' resounded so loudly that it seemed to reach the very heavens.' ।। 2-4-4 ।।
'As the Kuru king entered the grand assembly hall, having also honored the gods with diverse music and various exquisite and costly perfumes, the athletes, performers, prize-fighters, bards, and praise singers began to entertain the illustrious son of Dharma by showcasing their talents.' ।। 2-4-5 ।।
