परियं कर्तुम उपस्थातुं बलिकर्म सवभावजम अभिहर्तुं नृपा जग्मुर नान्यैः कार्यैः पृथक पृथक ॥ २-३०-६ ॥
'Other kings approached Yudhishthira only to offer services, worship, or tributes that did not impoverish, not for hostility or battle. They did not come for any other purpose, nor did they engage in separate tasks beyond these.' ॥ 2-30-6 ॥
