विन्दानुविन्दाव आवन्त्यौ सैन्येन महता वृतौ जिगाय समरे वीराव आश्विनेयः परतापवान ॥ २-२८-१० ॥
'Defeating the two heroic kings of Avanti, Vinda and Anuvinda, who were supported by a mighty host, the powerful son of the twin gods exacted a great amount of wealth from them.' ॥ 2-28-10 ॥
english translation
vindAnuvindAva Avantyau sainyena mahatA vRtau jigAya samare vIrAva AzvineyaH paratApavAna ॥ 2-28-10 ॥
